 Matt Cosner was back in action on Thursday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) roared into town for the for the three-day Rumble by the River. Drawing 43 Late Models, Cosner followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with an eighth-place finish in his B-Main. The following night, Matt was granted a provisional into the 40-lap feature but pulled off with six circuits remaining.

| August 20, 2021 - Matt Cosner races to Top-5 finish with World of Outlaws at Williams Grove |
 With threatening rain altering his original plans, Matt Cosner made the short trip to Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) on Friday evening to compete with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. With a fifth-place finish in his heat race lining him up 13th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Matt advanced forward eight spots in the 40-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He followed Gregg Satterlee, Chris Madden, Kyle Hardy, and Rick Eckert across the line.

| August 14, 2021 - Cosner follows LOLMDS to Florence for North/South weekend |
 On Thursday afternoon, Matt Cosner picked back up with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the Sunoco North-South Shootout. With 46 Late Models entered for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Cosner posted an eighth-place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main.  For a pair of heat races on Friday afternoon, Matt followed up an eighth-place finish in his first round with a runner-up finish in his second heat.
With passing points relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday, Cosner came in seventh, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $50,000-to-win North/South 100. Starting in 25th, Matt was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 65.
